A Grand Slam for Tobi’s Heart of Gold

What an incredible day we had at the First Annual Tobi’s Heart of Gold Softball Tournament!

We would like to congratulate FYP, our 2026 tournament champions!

A big congratulations also goes to the Backdoor Sliders, who played a great championship game and took home the second-place prize.

We began the day at 9:00 a.m. with 10 teams ready to play. After each team completed two games, then some moved into bracket play. The competition continued until FYP and the Backdoor Sliders faced off in the final game to determine our tournament winner.

A special thank-you goes to the Horny Toads, who traveled from Gatesville to participate. We also appreciate the local game wardens for putting together the Possum Police team. Another heartfelt thank-you goes to Tobi’s Cousins Coalition, whose members traveled from all over Texas to come together and play in Tobi’s memory. All the rest of the teams were community softball teams that all showed amazing support to our foundation and we are forever grateful for all

The weather was absolutely beautiful, the games were exciting and the entire day was filled with fun, laughter and community. We hope everyone who attended had a wonderful time and knows how much their support meant to us.
